House in Tennessee with a lodge feel

I provided comprehensive design assistance for both the exterior and interior of the property, overseeing all decisions to ensure a cohesive aesthetic.

Additionally, I managed the creation of custom window treatments, specifically fabric roman shades, tailored to add a layer of sophistication and functionality.
However, the real magic happened when I went to take a look at the old Homestead on the property. When I peaked in, there was a really cool door painted and weathered door. I knew right away that I wanted to use it in the house. I had them pull the door out and clean it up.
I remember when Johanna said, “What are we going to paint it?” I told her we were going to leave it as is. Nobody could really see my vision at the time; but, once in place, the door became the focal point. Everyone loves it!

So happy to get a chance to tell everyone about Tracy Tarter. My husband and I have been working with Tracy on numerous projects over the past 20 years. Our journey began with decorating newly purchased condos, to complete gut jobs and remodels of various houses, townhomes and condos and then reselling them. If my count is correct, I believe we have had about 10 projects together over the years (A lot!)
Our biggest project, was to build a house in Tennessee with a cabin or lodge feel for my husband. It was something he always wanted. We let Tracy know our plans and asked if she thought she could help us pull this off.
We had only delt with places near or on the beach up until this point and this would be going in a totally different direction so we wanted to see if she felt she could help us. She was excited and in 2020 during Covid we began the journey of building a house from the ground up.
Tracy will not let you make a mistake and in fact she was like a mind reader in that she understands your vision and can bring that dream to reality. In February 2021, our vision was complete. Now we get to go between our happy place in Florida to our happy place in Tennessee. Tracy can do everything from start to finish including window treatments.
